The main objective of this project was to design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive smart home system that integrates modern automation technologies for comfort, security, and energy efficiency. Using the MQTT protocol and Home Assistant platform, we created a centralized solution that connects and controls a variety of smart devices.
Key elements of the project included the deployment of temperature and energy sensors for real-time monitoring, IP cameras for enhanced security, and the integration of a Fronius solar power inverter to track and optimize renewable energy production. Additionally, the system was extended with weather forecast data to enable smart, predictive automation for energy and climate management.
The project’s goal was not only to set up these advanced features but also to ensure long-term reliability, scalability, and ease of use. This smart home solution empowers the homeowner with full control, valuable insights, and the ability to adapt the system as new technologies and needs arise.
